KEEP AN IDEA JOURNAL: I'm not talking about a diary type journal, I'm talking about a place to keep ideas and to store things you find interesting, to keep notes on things you have read or seen. This develops a real process to store genesis items for ideas.
READ MAGAZINES: Books are great for providing context to the way you think, but in our fast paced world of change, they provide yesterdays solutions. Read history and biographies for their gifts of knowledge, but don't look for them to keep you on the cutting edge. Read Fast Company, Wired, Fortune, Outside, Men's Journal or National Geographic.

PRACTICE YOUR FAITH: I'm not talking about your religion, I'm talking about your faith. What you believe is exhibited in how you behave, treat others and live your life. Find opportunities through your actions to practice what you believe.
SURROUND YOURSELF WITH GIANTS: Become disciplined in who you hang out with. Find people that raise the way you think, that challenge your understanding of things. When Sir Issac Newton was asked how he developed his ideas, he answered, "I stand on the shoulders of giants." Do the same.
SIMPLIFY: James Taylor said; "the secret to life is enjoying the passage of time." The best way to approach that goal is to simplify your life. Easier said than done, believe me. Don't chase things that add layers to your life. Try this simple exercise; do only one thing at a time. The more simple your life, the more freedom you have.
MIT: Most Important Things - Work your daily life from a simple method of organization. I use a ten item check list that allows me to describe the important things I need to get done in a couple of words. It allows four days of organization. I never plan Fridays. They are open to whatever happens. This style relieves pressure through a laser like focus on the important.
DO MORE PASSIONATE PURSUITS: I think we have a tendency to reduce the amount of time we spend on the things we are passionate about. We feel it is selfish. Figure out what you love to do and do more of it.
Yeah, I know there are 11!
